Invest in more funding for the NHS to deal with mental health issues

What the petition asks
I have started this petition with the help of a few friends to raise awareness of the lack of support and help for people suffering from mental health issues.
There have been many young people close to us who have committed suicide, attempted suicide and suffer from serious mental health issues on a daily basis. In our area we have to wait 6 months for an appointment with a councillor or therapist through the NHS. Someone with a physical illness wouldn’t have to wait 6 months so why should someone with mental illness have to wait 6 months. Too many young lives are being lost due to lack of funding and support, this needs to stop!
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
