What the petition asks
The Iraq Fatalities Investigations were set up by the MoD to look into allegations made against UK armed forces personnel in Iraq. Many of these allegations have been investigated several times already, placing intolerable strain on soldiers and their families.
As an example, Major Robert Campbell has already been investigated seven times for an incident alleged to have occurred in Iraq 2003. Each time there has been no case to answer.
Having spent his entire career helping others, providing water and shelter as a Royal Engineer and clearing mines, IEDs and bombs as a Bomb Disposal Officer he deserves better.
As he reaches retirement from the Service as a disabled Servicemen, he is now threatened with another investigation. This must stop.
