Put more police on our streets now

What the petition asks
The response times for police calls are unacceptable if they respond at all! It’s easily remedied by more officers on the ground. Simple.
A recent car theft at 4.am from my drive only warranted an e -mail response.
When my young son reportered a bulging suitcase by a telephone box he was told to open it and see what was inside. Crazy . When you see a uniform it gives a feeling of safety and well being. Everyone seems to have a story regarding crime that was unsatisfactorily handled. It seems “are you insured” being the 1st question asked by police is your safeguard. No it’s not!

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Policing in your local area is the responsibility of your elected Police and Crime Commissioner.
