What the petition asks
GMC should also pay for the legal representation of doctors in MPT HEARING because we have been paying for our subscription and GMC Claims that they support the doctors.
If this policy gets implemented then GMC will start following its own guidelines (because it will save their money going to the pockets of law professionals) of local resolution of the concerns first before accepting the referral.
It will save the time as well huge stress for patients and doctors. During long investigstions (According to GMC , most of the referrals results no action on doctor's registration), public is deprived of services of doctor in already understaffed NHS therefore it is not at all in the best interest of public
