What the petition asks

Ian Paisley Jr, a member of parlianent for North Antrim recently retweeted a tweet by Katie Hopkins which clearly endorsed rascism and showed contempt for the Muslim community in the United Kingdom. This petition seeks his resignation with immediate effect.
The member of parliament for North Antrim and party member of the Democratic Unionist Party has recently shown clear contempt for the Muslim community by disrespecting their culture and identify. This behavior is completely unacceptable for an elected official, especially for one supporting the government of the United Kingdom. It is clear that this endorsement was done to harm and no excuse can be accepted otherwise.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The resignation of an MP/Minister would be an individual decision for that person, and not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.
