Enforce the Law in Speakers Corner

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

I came across a video on social media clearly showing members of the public worshipping in Speakers Corner. In the rules & regulations of the park, it is clearly stated that this is not allowed. https://www.royalparks.org.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0013/80131/Religious-Activity-policy-2017.pdf
Police Officers in this video would not intervene in this matter. We must not have a division on this issue. Either you allow all faiths to worship here or you stick to the rules and you stop people from doing this. It was Easter Sunday and the lady taking the video was extremely offended by the acts of a few people breaking the rules of the park. The men were shouting and saying there was only her that was bothered. Well, this petition says otherwise. Having a 2 tier law enforcement system in our country has to stop. You cannot have one rule for some and another for the rest. Our country is divided enough. Stop this.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Parliament and Government aren't responsible for enforcing the Royal Parks collective worship policies.
