Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about violent crime in London, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do to tackle this issue, or what specific action you'd like the Government or Parliament to take to reduce social inequalities.
The UK Government isn't directly responsible for operational decisions about policing in London or for youth centres.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could ask the UK Government to give more funding to the police, and/or more funding to local councils to support youth services.
