What the petition asks
To recognise and address menopause within the workplace and ensure support measures are in place, also to be aware of the impacts that it may have upon an individual and their overall health and wellbeing.
The impact upon an individual during the menopause can be quite disabling which can affect the biopsychosocial aspects of our lives.
If a female is not supported in the workplace they may lose their confidence, social skills, their finances and their job, the loss to an employer can be huge, this is in terms of how much experience, knowledge and skills an individual may have and are valuable assets to a company, which could be unnecessarily lost due to lack of care and support.
