Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

These conditions affect us through physical, mental, social needs. Some women are losing the sensations of legs, arms etc. We go through surgeries every year. It affects 1 in 10 women.. X

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We're not sure exactly what you mean by asking for endometriosis and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome to be made disabilities. Laws and policies don't usually list specific conditions and define them as disabilities. In most cases, it’s the impact on the person’s life that qualifies them for protection under the law or makes them eligible for support.

You can find out more about how eligibility for PIP is decided here:

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do to support people with endometriosis and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
