Seek the approval of Parliament before undertaking any military operation.

What the petition asks

The Government acts on behalf of the people. Testing the will of the people occurs through their MPs and so except in grave situations when speed is of the essence, MPs must be consulted through Parliament.
Exceptions are proven attack on the UK or overseas territories, a NATO obligation or in support of a UN Security Council Resolution.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
