What the petition asks
Sensory Processing Disorder affects many children, who are struggling to carry out everyday tasks, which affects their wellbeing and education, parents are living with an everyday battle, and without help and support this is an overwhelming task, which is detrimental to the health of the parents.
Many of these parents spend years getting endless declined referrals, and having to be persistent in finding other professionals to help, during this time a small person is left suffering and a family is left struggling, education is being affected, and these children are seen as naughty and disruptive. If a parent was seen to be leaving a child suffering, Social Services would intervene, yet many parents are begging for help to stop their child suffering, and are being ignored.
