What the petition asks
As a student In a living in a city, being able to survive on student finance is challenging. Like most students the money I have to survive on is assessed by parental income, not taking into account mortgages and other bills to pay.
Many students I've spoken to are in a similar situation, Their parents would love to help them out with an additional £3-£4k per year but financially aren't in this position. Thus meaning they are unable to support us as student finance believes they should/could.
Due to the lack of student finance for our future workforce, we are forced into overdrafts before leaving education.
