Cease all public and taxpayer funding to members of the House of Lords

Currently the House of Lords is an unelected body yet receives substantial allowances paid by taxpayers. This must cease and the position be made entirely voluntary. No more public money of any kind be paid to the House of Lords

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. In particular, we're not sure whether you want to end public funding to the House of Lords as an institution or whether you are concerned about Lords expenses.
