Stop House of Lords members with assets in Europe, from voting on Brexit matters

What the petition asks

Members of the House of Lords who hold assets of any sort in Europe have a potential personal bias which will affect the way they vote in the House. This represents a conflict of interest
Lords with Euro assets should not be allowed to vote, lobby or debate Brexit related matters enabling fair play

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

This is the responsibility of the House of Lords. We can only accept petitions about things that the Government or the House of Commons are responsible for.

In any case, we're not sure exactly what you would like to happen. The House of Lords already has a Codes of Conduct for their Members. Members are already required to register and declare financial interests, and avoid conflicts of interest, so we're not sure what action you'd like to see.
