Petition · past parliament

Protect the National stadium and keep it’s ownership UK based.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The National stadium should be kept in the hands of a UK business and its prime use for Football in this country not sold off to anyone whose only interest is making money and ripping the sole of our game away!
The history of the stadium/site will be for ever changed if the NFL is allowed to change the stadium to a NFL based franchise and move the football aspect to secondary role.

England should not be travelling the country for home games or taking a backseat to another nations sport.

Wembley is the home of football and should stay the home of football at all costs.

The FA should be sacked for considering sellling the stadium out of pure greed.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Any decision about selling Wembley Stadium is the responsibility of the Football Association, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could contact the FA directly about this issue:

You could start a new petition to ask the UK Government to urge the FA not to sell Wembley Stadium.
