What the petition asks

The government's 'hostile environment' is damaging the lives of British Citizens with husbands and wives from overseas.
The stringent requirements separate young children from parents. Those who pass face HUGE fees, both to bring a spouse to the UK, AND to keep them here. Stop breaking families up!
