What the petition asks
We were in the Royal Air Force for just under 30 years. We had met and holidayed in Cyprus towards the latter part of our service.
We decided that we would like to remain in Cyprus after our years were up.
The amended DTA would reduce the amount of household income Veterans' have to live on.

The amended DTA would reduce the amount of household income Veterans' have to live on.
The proposed amendment to the DTA, signed by both Governments in March 2018 (and yet to be passed by either parliament), proposes that from next year, Civil Service and Military Pensions will be taxed at source (the U.K.) and not as the majority of us arranged, when we decided to live and contribute here in Cyprus.
All we ask is that we can continue to live and contribute here with the same agreements in place from 1960, and even with Cyprus joining the E.U. in 2004.
