What the petition asks
A system already stablished in several countries that allows the possession of cannabis by people suffering from a chronic or debilitating disease or condition which has been diagnosed by a licensed physician who believes the use of cannabis will benefit the patient's condition and well-being.
Amend current legislation and introduce a system similar to the one existing in Colorado (USA), where registered patients can obtain a valid ID which allows them to possess no more than two Oz of a usable form of the plant and to grow for personal use no more than 6 plants (maximum of 3 being mature plants) at a time.
A new report about the effects of cannabis is needed reflecting all the new evidence supporting its beneficial effects as well as solutions to the so called "harmful effects".
