Petition · past parliament

Increase the wage and take notice of the responsibility of early years workers.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Many people in the early years are on minimum wage, and are struggling to love and provide for themselves and their families. The role involves supporting the future generation and often the staff spend more time than their parents do. With more paperwork and Responsibility higher wages are needed.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the wages of all early years workers. Some early years workers work in private settings, not in the public sector, so their pay isn't set by the Government.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
