Grant Tier 1 General Applicants ILR After 5 Years Continuous Legal Stay In UK

Closed 208 signatures

What the petition asks

Tier 1 general migrants are experiencing great unfairness and inhumane treatment from the Home Office. Many have been criminalized or turned into illegal immigrants by the hostile immigration rules. With the program wrapped up on 6 April 2018, many in this category have been adversely affected.
Home Office base refusal decisions for leave to remain on unfair premises such as failing genuine income test even when tax has been paid on such income or citing minor tax errors. Most of these decisions cannot be subject to reasonable challenge due to the black letter law of the Point Based System introduced in 2014 that implicitly confers absolute power on decision makers.

Tier 1 migrants took legal route offered by the UK in migrating here, it is morally unfair to deny them their rights.
