What the petition asks
Northern Ireland veterans face possible prosecution for following orders and their training during the troubles.
90% of killings in Northern Ireland were committed by paramilitaries. They now enjoy amnesties and pardons. Yet this government insists on pursuing NI veterans for doing their duty. Would we dream of pursuing WW1 veterans for doing their duty just to appease the German government?
