I am seeking support to change the law on attacks of police dogs whilst on duty

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Finn's been punched, kicked and spat at whilst at work, but has saved 45 lives during his career. He was brutally knifed through the chest, puncturing his lungs which all-but claimed his life.
But because Finn is ‘just a dog’ the law treated him as damaged property - no diff to a broken window
Someone promised Finn and his handler to help bring about Finn’s Law (i decided i'd like to help too) but some government ministers are reluctant. If you’re like minded, sharing #FinnsLaw far and wide, taking five minutes to sign this petition send an email / tweet to your MP could make a massive difference.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We understand that you're concerned about police dogs who are harmed in the course of their duties, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could ask for a specific change to the law.
