Give women free sanitary products in order to combat period poverty
Rejected
14 signatures
What the petition asks
I believe that women should have the right to free sanitary products and they almost certainly shouldn't have a luxury tax. Even though I do not experience periods (being male), I believe they can become problematic if you do not possess the means to prevent them.
I am a member of the Elthorne Park High School Feminist Society and am trying to arrange an event for period awareness with the help of the society. I want the government to acknowledge that this is a huge issue affecting women in learning and in their jobs.
Why it was rejected
