Make Graves’ disease a recognised disability

Graves’ disease is a life long auto immune disease which is usually accompanied by an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism). It causes most it’s sufferers daily lives to be affected by horrendous symptoms, medications, hospital visits and time off work. Yet it is not a recongnised disability. Why?

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you mean by asking for Graves’ disease to be made a recognised disability.

Laws and policies don't usually list specific conditions and define them as disabilities. In most cases, it’s the impact on the person’s life that qualifies them for protection under the law or makes them eligible for support.
