What the petition asks
The new Govia Thameslink timetable has caused untold misery for commuters and left front line railway staff to bear the brunt of angry & frustrated commuters as hundreds of services are cancelled or changed. The Secretary of State must intervene & hold this company to account
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not exactly sure what you want the Secretary of State for Transport to do. In particular we're not sure what you mean by "intervene and hold this company to account".
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
If you want the Government to remove Govia Thameslink Railway's contract, you may wish to sign this petition instead: Govia Thameslink Railway should have its contract immediately removed
If you want the previous time table to be reinstated, you may wish to sign this petition instead: Reinstate the old train timetable for Southern, Thameslink and Southeastern rail
You may be interested to know that the Secretary of State for Transport made a statement about this issue on Monday 4 June and MPs asked questions about it.
