What the petition asks

Plastic waste has become a massive issue in not only the UK but the entire world. Banning the use of plastic bags and enforcing a law that the retail industry should use only cardboard/paper bags could help massively to this issue.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

The UK Government to introduce a ban on all non-recyclable packaging from 2022.
