Make public, communal eating space a legal requirement in high density housing.

What the petition asks

A study found that regularly eating meals alone is the biggest single factor for unhappiness, besides existing mental illness. When we only design commercial spaces for individualised food consumption and cooking spaces for the single person, we are designing unhappiness.
We believe that it should be a legal requirement for housing developments of any significant density, to provide large social eating spaces and communal kitchens, in which inhabitants can cook for one another, socialise and share food freely. This will avoid public health concerns such as social isolation.
