GTR to make all train services free until new timetable is properly implemented
Rejected

What the petition asks
As a management company only, the tax payer is funding the delay repay costs of Govia Thameslink Railway customers. As GTR get a part of their revenue from fares, all services should be made free until they start running the promised new timetable with season ticket holders refunded for each day.
The tax payer should not be funding GTR’s incompetence when GTR were fully aware the new timetable wasn’t possible at the present time. Govia Thameslink Railway should therefor have one of their revenue streams suspended until they sort out the situation satisfactorily.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The price of train tickets is the responsibility of train operating companies.
