Recall of MPs Act to include failure of MPs to abide by Constituents’ wishes

Closed 81 signatures

What the petition asks

The Recall of MPs Act 2015 is very limited in scope. It only covers when an MPs is sentenced to a prison term or is suspended from the House for at least 21 sitting days. It should be extended to allow for the recall of MPs that ignore the wishes of the majority of their constituents.
A third reason for the Recall of an MP should include acting contrary to their Election Manifesto, by for example voting against something they promised, and acting contrary to the wishes of the majority of their constituents as expressed in a national or local referendum.
