Call for a ban on the appleby horse fair

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Over the past three years, Appleby horse fair has developed from a celebration of the gypsy traveling community, in to a festival in which a beautiful local town looses all sense of control and resigns to the laws of travellers.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the Appleby Horse Fair.

There is a Multi-Agency Strategic Co-ordinating Group (MASCG) which brings together various local agencies, including loca councils and police.
