What the petition asks

There is a substantial body of scientific and medical evidence to show that legalized drugs, primarily as alcohol and tobacco, are harmful and can damage people’s mental and physical health, and our wider communities.

We call for the government to ban these harmful substances.

We believe that the legalization of Alcohol and Tobacco send the wrong message to the vast majority of people who do not take drugs, especially the young and vulnerable, and leads to widespread misuse of these drugs.

These drugs are extremely harmful to individuals and communities, and should be banned, especially as they are significantly more harmful than already illegal drugs such as Cannabis.
