Fund a permanent memorial to soldiers killed in Northern Ireland

Closed 403 signatures

What the petition asks

On the 5th April 1979 Trooper Anthony Dykes along with Trooper Anthony Thornett of the Blues & Royals were killed in action whilst serving their country.

763 people gave the ultimate sacrifice in Northern Ireland whilst serving their country yet there is no permanent memorial to this.
My Grandparents are now in the later years of their life and have fought tirelessly for this to happen, they did a piece for ITV which I include a link below to:

We owe it to those who gave their lives for their country to be honoured, I never had the chance to meet my Uncle but I am immensely proud of him for the sacrifice he gave to our country.
