Allow Historic and Classic Cars into London and other UK Cities.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The new London ULEZ is banning old cars from streets in London but is unfair on owners of Historic and Classic cars (including the Royal Family) and used for the Lord Mayor show, The London Classic Car Show (Excel) to name a few events
Historic and Classic cars are rarely used, hence the free road tax and now no MOTs now required, therefore why should these be banned from inner cities. They are not the main polluters or make any significant pollution issue. By all means select old Diesel's including pollutive public transport, these should be banned and replaced with cleaner vehicles.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the issue you raise is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament. The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) in London is the responsibility of the London Mayor and London Assembly.

The London Assembly has its own petitions process. You can find out more about how to petition the London Assembly here:
