Put the Marrekesh treaty to referendum before implementation by parliament

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

This is a major EU treaty that has been signed by Theresa May.
It was signed without asking the British public and when there was no need to sign it as we are leaving the EU.
This treaty ensures this country will have no control over our borders for decades. It will still be in the EU’s hands which states free movement from Africa to Europe.
This goes against the governments manifesto that promises we leave the EU in entirety.
We need to decide who comes into this country ourselves in the future.
Mrs May has no rights signing such a vital treaty.
The treaty of Barcelona should have had a referendum, this is the same treaty, this should have a referendum

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The Marrakech Declaration is not a treaty, so we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The Marrakech Declaration is political and is not legally binding.
