What the petition asks
Help me change how people living with dementia can have a better quality of care when visiting the hospital and being treated by staff with very little or no experience and knowledge of the disease and also help the staff to better their knowledge and understanding of dementia.
Elderly lady living with dementia in a care home setting had a fall as was taken to A & E due to NHS staff ( GP's, OT's, Radiographers and nurses ) lack of understanding and knowledge of dementia. She was sedated unnecessarily as they said she was a risk to herself.
