Introduce fines for ordinary citizens that discriminate

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

You can make a claim that you've been discriminated against at work, in education, or as a consumer, but regular citizens are not punished. I wish to introduce fines for citizens who discriminate against people with protected characteristics, especially mental health issues as they are very common.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We're not sure exactly what you mean by "ordinary citizens that discriminate".

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
