Make it a legal requirement for property adverts to display total floor area.

What the petition asks
The bedrooms in new houses have shrunk to the point where they aren't properly usable bedrooms. The total floor area has also shrunk without reducing the number of bedrooms. Adverts look the same even though the property is smaller.
Property websites, such as Rightmove and Zoopla, currently can't display the total floor area for every listing because they don't have the data. The reason they don't have the data is that it's not a mandatory field for Estate Agents to complete. The reason it's not a mandatory field is because it's not a legal requirement.
