Parental responsibility works both ways!
Rejected

What the petition asks
single parents are told to be grateful for receiving any maintenance from a none resident parent. They are told to be grateful when the none resident parent has any input in their own child’s life! We should not be grateful. This support, be it financial or otherwise should be a given!
We need to fight for a fair and just system to support single parents and ensure the other parent is providing the same level of care as we do!
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about support for single payments, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
