What the petition asks

Education health and care plans are what is needed to get your child into the right provision. How can parents be told that Severe learning difficulty (SLD) is the right provision then to be told mainstream is the only option?

The process should take 20 weeks which is too long. You could easily get everyone in the room for 4-5 hours and create the plan together. I have since been led to believe that they hold information back from the parents. Every child has different strengths and abilities so why do the councils follow a standard chart? My child is just as important as everyone else and it’s in his best interest he has the right surroundings. Do not be bullied into the wrong choices for your child. They all matter.
