Lower the tax on alcohol sold in pubs and clubs

Closed 54 signatures

What the petition asks

Once the local pub or club was the centre of a community, people met their future spouses, discussed their problems and received help, made friends and built a network of support encouraging a communal spirit and mental well-being. Cheap alcohol consumption from an off licence fosters non of this.
There is a rising level of mental health issues / youth disorders I believe can be linked to the lose of community spirit. Clubs and pubs can form a focal point of this along side health and fitness centers, recreational clubs and community centers. The tax on alcohol should be lowered in pubs / clubs to encourage people to get out and socialize rather than consume alcohol at home from off licence premises.
