Theresa May has betrayed the UK voters with her white paper and must resign

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Theresa May has betrayed the UK voters. All sides agreed this must include leaving the Customs Union in all its forms. The referendum to leave the EU, no more European Court of Justice, no free movement of people, no contributions, Freedom to negotiate our own trade deals. She has failed and must go
The White paper of July 2018 betrays all of the UK voters of all sides, disregards the democratic principles of the UK and the Prime minister has no mandate to do anything that does not deliver what the voters asked for - out is out, the referendum was clear - in or out, not half in or or any acceptance of any alignment with the EU. The referendum was to return democracy to the UK and the ability of the voters to remove from government any politician who is acting against the public's wishes.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The resignation of a Minister would be an individual decision for that person, and not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or Parliament, you could start a petition about that.
