Petition · past parliament

To ask Theresa May to step down and allow the country to vote for a leader.

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

I am sure most of us are lost with Brexit, what it means and where it will land us in the future, for something that will have a major impact on the country whether we voted in or out I’m sure we can all agree that Theresa May does not have the confidence to bring us to the right outcome
Several vice-chairs quit and many others such as Boris Johnson and David Davies, The majority do not trust that May has the capabilities to fulfill an acceptable Brexit deal. We need a new leader, one our Parties and country have confidence in, a leader we actually voted for.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The resignation of the Prime Minister would be an individual decision for that person, and not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or Parliament, you could start a petition about that.
