Make Public Transport Disabled Friendly

What the petition asks
When using public transport such as a bus there needs to be a huge improvement in helping make them disabled friendly.
In my experience a lot of bus drivers complain and on occasion make a scene when having to take down the ramp to allow wheelchair users access to the bus.

On the bus there is a yellow safety rail which comes down to help keep wheelchair in place however the majority in my experience have been bolted and unable to be used. This means that when bus is driving fast the wheelchair slides all over the place even with the breaks on and at times crashing into other passengers/ Prams or seats which can cause damage to the chair.
More awareness is needed to solve these issues.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about accessibility of public transport, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could ask Parliament to change the legal requirements for buses and trains.
