What the petition asks
In the week commencing 16/07/18 we found out about various breaches in electoral law and parliamentary rules, all linked to matters involving the UK leaving the EU. As a result, We, the undersigned, ask for an immediate halt in all Brexit activities and call for a second referendum on leaving the EU
On Tuesday 17th July 2018 the Electoral Commission published their report finding Vote Leave broke electoral laws around spending. They also fined Vote Leave £61,000 because of their lack of cooperation in the investigation. They have also referred further criminal matters to the police for investigation in to Vote Leave.
On the same day Brandon Lewis MP had entered a non-voting pact with Jo Swinson MP, currently on maternity. He breached it and voted in two brexit amendment votes.
