Make councils secret sales of public land without consulting citizens, illegal.

What the petition asks
North Dorset District Council are secretly selling Shaftesbury's publicly owned Cattle Market site to supermarket chain without publicity and without consulting the citizens! Shaftesbury Town Councillors were fully aware of this but did not tell the citizens of Shaftesbury either ! The Press did!
The site is of vital strategic importance to Shaftesbury, being the only piece of Public land available for future developments to benefit the public. A supermarket right next to another supermarket in the centre of town is total waste of this public land and is not what the people of Shaftesbury want. They want the full consultation that they are supposed to get under the 2011 Localism Act.
Why it was rejected
