Active Fathers to be given the right to Joint Custody

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

All Dads should have the right to Joint Custody or Weekly Overnight Visits. Dads That can provide a safe space and environment should have the right if it's logistically and practically viable.Dads should have history of Financial and emotional support for this to be viable. As well as a close bond.
Mothers are not superior when raising children. Dads need the rights to reflect this. I find it difficult to speak to my Ex about arrangements. When my ex and I first split I had my boys every weekend. Since then my Ex has changed her mind and doesn't allow me to see my children as often as I feel is necessary to maintain the bond I have grown with my boys. Equal Custody rights is the norm in some countries. this would also allow Single mothers the opportunity to get back into employment.
