What the petition asks
I have decided to start this petition to all allow all tradesmen working on building sites across the UK to wear shorts and t-shirts on all building sites during warm/hot weather, I am currently working on a site that we must wear trousers on site even when it's 30 degrees hot and I think it's wrong
Stop building firms from stopping tradesmen from wearing shorts and t-shirts on building sites in the UK. In a way it is a health and safety issue in itself as your body could overheat faster and you can become ill, if you agree then please sign and share this petition. Thank you for your support.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
At the moment, this is a decision for employers, acting within the relevant law, not the UK Government or Parliament.
If you'd like the UK Government or Parliament to take action, you could start a new petition asking clearly for a specific action.
