What the petition asks
At the moment most building sites in Britain we cannot wear shorts on site, even when it's as high as 34 degrees!
Having the bottom of our legs exposed is no different to having our forearms exposed. I believe there is no logical reason for builders not to be allowed to wear shorts.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
At the moment, this is a decision for employers, acting within the relevant law, not the UK Government or Parliament.
