What the petition asks
Emergency Services in the United Kingdom, go above and beyond duty, every time they put their uniform on.
Consequently, whenever they get a minute to grab some food or drink, they can be caught up in queues and then end up having to leave, prior to eating.
Consequently, whenever they get a minute to grab some food or drink, they can be caught up in queues and then end up having to leave, prior to eating.
I think it should be nationally accepted that all Emergency Services employees, are able to skip public queues for refreshments. Thus allowing them to eat and drink as quick as possible, prior to having to rush off again.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
At the moment, this would be a decision for individual businesses, not the UK Government or Parliament.
If you'd like Parliament to make this a legal requirement, you could start a new petition asking for that.
