Place ‘not all disabilities and illnesses are visible’ signs on disabled toilets

What the petition asks
Those living with unseen disabilities and invisible illnesses can need; and have the right to use, disabled toilet facilities. Yet current signage is not inclusive, overlooks and marginalises those who need to use them, but have no outward or visible indicators of their needs.
The current signage on disabled toilets does not represent our current understanding of hidden disabilities and invisible illnesses; by updating signage on all pre-existing, and all new build disabled toilets we can improve the quality of life for thousands of people around the U.K. By adding this new signage alongside the pre-existing wheelchair emblem, we both include those living with hidden disabilities and invisible illnesses, and promote equality of toilet access across wider society.
